It is essential for businesses with an online presence to produce exclusive content for their websites when they are considering managed SEO, it has been claimed.
According to Chris Lake, editor in chief of online publisher E-consultancy.com, exclusive content can help companies retain the visitors that come to their websites and raise the site's profile in the eyes of Google.
"It's also not just about content in the form of text - adding videos and images to your website is also becoming more important as Google is including more types of content in its main search results, such as clips from YouTube," he added.
Mr Lake went on to say creating blogs can be of benefit to businesses by attracting qualified and relevant traffic, but a firm must then make sure such publicity can be converted into sales.
The National Statistics Omnibus Survey, published earlier this month, indicates 16 million households in Britain, or 65 per cent, have internet access.
